He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Are you a nurse who can juggle several balls at a time to provide effective and efficient patient flow and hospital coordination?
The Hospital Operations Manager works closely with Clinical Nurse and Midwife Managers and senior leadership team to provide effective and efficient daily patient flow which supports safe service delivery. The role uses the Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) framework and tools, in liaison with the Integrated Operations Centre to inform staffing decisions proactively and in response to daily variance.
You will lead the team of Duty Nurse Managers, the nursing resource team, and casual staff to have a hospital-wide approach to coordinating the demands of changing workloads, to provide safe and efficient patient flow through the acute care episode and beyond.

**Key accountabilities are**:

- To facilitate effective and efficient patient flow matching capacity and demand appropriately from a hospital wide perspective
- To provide leadership and management for the Duty Nurse Managers, nursing resource team, casual nurses, and Health Care Assistants
- To promote quality improvement and manage clinical risk
- To maintain key partnerships and networks crucial to the functioning of the daily hospital operations
