We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Team Leader to join our high-performing team in Hastings.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the focus of this role will be to ensure operational efficiency, equipment utilisation and maintenance service to ensure a consistent service delivery.

**Key responsibilities include**
- Organising drivers to ensure all pre-start checks are complete and manage any driver absences.
- Preparing and maintaining driver rosters.
- Overseeing vehicles and equipment to ensure they are operated within WM guidelines.
- Providing continuous improvement support to Operational Managers.
- Providing leadership to our team of dispatch coordinators, and yard and transfer station Operators.
- Devise cost-effective transport solutions to meet daily operational needs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain productivity and agreed targets.
- Conducting toolbox talks and safety meetings.

You will be a team player with proven operational experience. With high-quality standards and strong time management skills, you will be a safety and productivity-focused individual who can lead, influence and engage others to foster a positive continuous improvement culture. Working with a variety of people both internally and externally, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to build solid, long-term relationships.
