C3 are looking for an experienced people leader with proven supervisory experience who enjoys responsibility in a “hands on” port environment.

Our Stevedore Shift Leaders (Foremen) are tasked with leading and developing a team of Stevedores to safely and efficiently load and unload a variety of cargo in a continuous improvement environment.

For this position we are seeking someone with motivation and enthusiasm, who enjoys solving problems, is quick thinking and forward thinking. As this is a physically demanding 24/7 environment you must have the stamina and flexibility to work a range of shift patterns.
- Effective communication skills with both internal & external customers
- Confident communication skills to run effective toolbox talks
- Performance management and coaching skills
- Ability to further develop supervisory skills and get the best out of people
- Strong computer skills
- Planning skills to determine manpower & equipment to meet requirements and minimize labour costs
- Ability to work out of port in other C3 locations when required
- Previous experience in port operations desirable
- Reliability with their attendance and flexiblilty with availability for work
- Strong focus on maintaining Health & Safety to a very high standard
