An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time position teaching in the undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing programme at the Taradale campus for a Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate and a passion for mental health.

A Masters of Nursing or equivalent is desirable but applicants who are working towards a Masters Degree will be considered.

The** **Nursing Lecturer & Mental Health Academic Liaison is** **based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga Hawkes Bay Campus and will be responsible for:

- Teamwork - the successful applicant will work in a small team who works closely with the larger team in Hawke's Bay and Tairāwhiti.
- Contribute to ongoing development of teaching and learning in the online platform
- Seek out professional development opportunities to keep abreast of online teaching and
- Participate in the ongoing curriculum development for the Undergraduate Nursing and Health Science Programmes as appropriate
- Participate in the promotion and marketing of the undergraduate nursing programmes at EIT Te Pūkenga.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Wide range and up-to-date nursing practice experiences in mental health
- Passion for mental health and sharing of clinical experiences
- Tertiary teaching experience in nursing, preferred but not required
- Knowledge of the Nursing Council of New Zealand Competency requirements for the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice
- An understanding of Kawa Whakaruruhau and current approaches to cultural safety in the delivery of learning
- High degree of professional judgement and integrity.
- Friendly and approachable manner.
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and holds a current annual practicing certificate
