**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This is an opportunity for you to join our Staff Service Centre team at our Penrose offices in a Permanent, **full-time** role as a **Payroll Administrator**. The role will see you working within an established team contributing to the effective operation of our Staff Service Centre by providing customer focused payroll services and support, handling payroll of over 20,000 employees across 6 entities.
- Check all reimbursement claims for compliance against tax, audit and districts policy requirements
- Process filing of required payroll paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Accurately complete data entry of all timesheets and expense claims
- Upload all HR and payroll information into the system in a timely and accurate manner maintaining current service level agreements
- Demonstrate and maintain best practice in customer service with various internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in organizational HR, payroll projects and audits as required
- Identify potential improvements to aid in the continuous efficient operation of the administrative function and service levels

- 2+ years experience in a medium to large payroll department
- Administration experience working in an office environment
- Comfortable with Microsoft suite of products particularly Excel
- Excellent time management and decision making skills
- Ability to build rapport and build constructive business relationships
- High level of numerical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive can-do attitude able to work autonomously and in a team environment
- New Zealand working rights
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
