If you're a self-starter and keen to join a high-performing team at an exciting time then this is the opportunity for you. We're looking for two Project Leads to plan and execute projects and to provide advice to support effective business decisions in our Recreation, Sports & Events unit.

Your day to day will include
- Defining the scope of projects, developing plans, managing delivery and reporting on progress.
- Identifying required resources and providing direction required for meeting project objectives.
- Ensuring appropriate management, stakeholder, customer and contractor involvement.
- Providing high quality research, participation and financial advice.
- Identifying service, event and programme development opportunities or enhancements.
- Being involved with coordinating provision of high quality participation and financial advice to support effective business decision as well as identifying services, event and programme development opportunities.
- Being involved in the operational establishment of the Council Sport & Recreation facilities opening including Matatiki: Hornby Centre and Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre

You'll need to be able to multi-task, as you will be assisting with the development and monitoring of project plans. Your experience will showcase a minimum of 5 years' experience in project or business analysis. You'll also be confident and comfortable with strong stakeholder management and have fine-tuned relationship building skills. You'll need to be a member of the team that can be counted on to achieve goals successfully and safely.

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary degree in relevant discipline e.g. Management, Commerce, Business, Sport or Recreation and ideally training in project management methodologies. You will be a curious personality and look beyond the obvious for solutions, and engage with others while showing respect for their input, suggestions and feedback.
