**Role Overview**: We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic Strategic Projects Lead to join our team on a fixed-term basis of 18 months. In this pivotal role, you will lead and deliver key projects that are designed to stimulate urban growth and facilitate affordable housing solutions for our communities. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring that the Greater Christchurch area continues to thrive and meet the evolving needs of its residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Spearhead the delivery of major projects aimed at fostering urban growth and enabling affordable housing.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to stakeholders across multiple organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of partners, including mana whenua, central government agencies, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor and ensure the successful execution of projects.
**About you**:
This is an important role for the partnership so we are looking for someone with the below:
- _ Experience:_ Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering significant projects, preferably within the context of urban development and affordable housing.
- _ Knowledge: _A broad understanding of the factors that influence urban growth and housing affordability, along with familiarity with local government operations and processes.
- _ Skills: _Strong relationship-building capabilities, adept at engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Proven track record as a reliable and effective advisor.
- _ Attributes: _Confident communicator and problem solver with a genuine passion for making a positive impact. Committed to contributing to the region's aspirations for a prosperous, equitable, healthy, and sustainable future.

**Additional information**:
- Hours of work_ - _Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week_
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices, 53 _Hereford street or other partnerhsip locations._
