We have a rare opportunity for a Regional Manager to lead our Tauranga office, following the impending retirement of our long-serving regional leader.

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring business leader to take the helm of our Tauranga region, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth, nurturing client relationships, and empowering our people to deliver excellence across every project and discipline. You’ll shape the strategic direction of the region, ensuring strong financial performance, quality delivery, and continued innovation.

**About the role**

This is a pivotal leadership position within our business, responsible for driving growth, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects across multiple engineering disciplines.

The Regional Manager will lead our Tauranga team with vision, integrity, and a commitment to excellence, overseeing business operations, project performance, financial outcomes, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and inspire our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in engineering design and consultancy services.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships across the Bay of Plenty and wider regions.
- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable growth and regional performance, and drive strategic and sustainable business growth, aligned with our company objectives.
- Oversee project performance, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Foster a culture that reflects our values and encourages innovation, learning, and teamwork. Champion a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive culture where people can thrive.

**About you**

An experienced and commercially astute leader, ideally with a background in engineering, construction, or professional services. You are commercially astute, client-focused, and driven to achieve excellence in both people leadership and project delivery.

- Proven experience in leading business operations or regional teams.
- Thrive as a leader, understand the commercial realities of engineering consultancy, and bring strategic thinking alongside technical depth, and sound commercial judgement.
- Excellent people leadership skills, with a focus on culture, collaboration, and mentorship.
- Commercially minded with a clear understanding of project profitability, resourcing, and strategic oversight
- Strong client networks and a reputation for trusted relationship management, business growth, and project delivery.
- Awareness of the changing workforce and enthusiasm for innovation, technology, and AI-driven solutions.
- Passionate about fostering high-performance culture and innovation in engineering.
- CPEng Structural Engineer desirable
