Area Service Delivery Manager - Waikato Metro
We're currently seeking an Area Operations Manager (internally we call this role an Area Service Delivery Manager in the Mighty Metropolitan Waikato region.
Reporting to our Central East Coast Regional Manager, the primary responsibility of this permanent role is to lead our delivery teams within their respective areas of the region to be high performing. This role will be responsible for 3 Service Delivery Managers (leading Delivery Agents's, Courier Contractors, & Processing Operations). This is a key operatonal leadership role, the core duties of which include;
- Contributing to the management and strategic direction of NZ Post
- Health, safety and wellbeing of all teams including employees/contractors
- Sales management and business growth
- Leadership of operational employees; coaching, performance management, training and development of direct reports
- Understanding and balancing the varied needs of stakeholders to ensure success of NZ Post operations
- Management of contractors in line with various contract requirements
- Identify and drive project work and initiatives to reduce the cost of delivery or improve service performance across the business
Key to your success will be your proven experience in an operational leadership role, creating a high performance, customer-centric culture. You're a true people leader with strong interpersonal skills to confidently lead, coach and motivate your team. You have the ability to build trust, influence and maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels. Commercially, you have a good understanding of revenue and profit drivers and have experience in financial and budget management.
Flexible working hours across the varying shift patterns across our team who work on different shifts will be key for visibility to your team.
