**About Us**
At Wakefield Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. And with a long-standing history of serving the lower North Island, we are proud to be the largest private hospital in the Wellington region.
**About the role**
As the Wakefield Specialist Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the Practice Manager provide high quality services to the consultants. You will also:
- Build a team environment that fosters and develops effective working relationships and high performance.
- Assign, coordinate and check the services undertaken by the team.
- Ensure productivity is maintained and the quality of work meets approved standards.
- Ensure the workload is distributed evenly.
- Orientate and train all Wakefield Specialist Centre staff
This a 13 month fixed-term, 80 hours per fortnight position, to cover a staff member who is on parental leave. Located at Wakefield Hospital in Newtown, Wellington.

As the Wakefield Specialist Centre Team Leader, you will be a strong people leader, that knows how to get the best out of everyone.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
- Able to prioritise workload and juggle competing demands
- Able to motivate the team and meet tight deadlines
- Quick learner with a robust understanding of confidentiality
- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate to Advance in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Have knowledge of MedTech Evolution Patient Management system
