Regent Training Centre (RTC) is a long-established Private Training Establishment (PTE) dedicated to wellbeing in education.   Our programmes are government funded, and are designed to support regional employment needs, with qualifications that are taught in practical settings to students who have yet to achieve.

We are seeking to recruit a vibrant leader of people to the role of Team Leader, Whangārei campuses.  The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Support and facilitate staff to complete their duties effectively, so that our learners and clients achieve the successful outcomes that they value and seek;
  • Organise and manage the day to day functions, manage budget and targets of the campus to ensure a safe and successful environment for all on-site;
  • Engage with learners and whanau to provide pastoral care and support services;
  • Uphold compliance requirements and activities across the campus and balancing this with support and well being of all.
  • Provide effective support to our staff, learners and stakeholders as required

A successful applicant will ideally have the following:

  • A passion for working with young people who have varying challenges and life experiences;
  • Tertiary organisation leadership or management experience (preferably within a PTE);
  • Proven skills as a successful leader of people, demonstrating the ability to inspire, motivate and manage staff to achieve;
  • An understanding of MoE, NZQA, TEC and general requirements and procedures (previous teaching experience is ideal but not essential);
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets whilst maintaining set policies and procedures;
  • Contribute to regional and companywide annual strategic planning.

You must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit, as well as a full, clean and current driver's licence.
