Te tūranga - The role The Climate Change Team is responsible for leading organisation-wide strategies and initiatives that are imperative to the economic wellbeing of New Zealand and have an impact on Te Pūtea Matua's policies and decisions. The Senior Adviser, Strategic Initiatives (Climate Change and Financial Inclusion) is responsible for leading organisation-wide climate change and financial inclusion and initiatives to support the success of Te Pūtea Matua's overall purpose and objectives. You will work alongside the Manager and Director to identify scope and support new Bank-wide strategies and initiatives as required. You will also contribute to, and draw linkages with, the Te Ao Maori, financial inclusion, and other relevant bank-wide strategies. - Strong strategic thinking skills and proven success in supporting an organisation to develop and deliver strategies and initiatives for business improvement
- Experience working in climate-related disclosures
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Experience working in a project based environment
- A collaborative approach that draws on the knowledge of your colleagues and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate open discussions with senior leaders and influence a range of stakeholders
- Financial regulatory experience (desirable)
