This is an excellent opportunity to develop the internal communications function of an organisation. Building on what’s already in place, you’ll have the opportunity to introduce new approaches and tools to create a best practice internal communications function. Fresh thinking about internal communications and new ideas will be welcome

You’ll also be:

- Working closely with the Chief Executive, the Senior Leadership team and the People and Culture team providing strategic internal communications advice and support.
- Developing and implementing an enterprise level internal communications strategy.
- Developing and implementing internal communications strategies for initiatives and internal engagement campaigns.
- Contributing to the Intranet refresh project and managing the development of internal communications channels.
- Mentoring a communications advisor.

You’ll need experience working at principal communications advisor level, together with excellent relationship management skills. You may be an internal communications specialist or a strategic communications practitioner with a good understanding of internal communications.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, with full-time hours. The role is based in Wellington with the flexibility to WFH 1-2 days per week.

As well as having the scope to develop the internal communications function, this organisation offers excellent opportunities for professional development. It’s possible that this will become a permanent role in the future.
