We are looking for a Principal Advisor to join our Communications team in our Careers & Investment Design Directorate. As Principal Advisor you will deputise for the Team Manager - Communications and will support other members of the team. - Provide pragmatic and strategic communications advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team.
- Develop, deliver, monitor and review communications strategies.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across the business/project groups to foster effective communications planning, delivery and support.
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationships with key external stakeholders (including the Minister's Office and relevant TEO communications staff) to assist with any communications requirements including risk and issue management.
- Provide mentoring, guidance and support to other team members to ensure best practice communications and engagement advice is consistently delivered to the business.

We are looking for someone with proven experience at senior or principal communications advisor level within the public sector. You will bring the following:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement best practice communication and engagement strategies, including issues and media management.
- A good understanding of traditional and contemporary media.
- Advanced relationship management skills.
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and budgets.

The salary range for this position starts from $121,148 up to $142,527 depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
