Make a positive impact within a central government agency
- Work in an environment that values your professional input
- Permanent opportunity, based in Wellington
**About the Ministry for Regulation**
The Ministry for Regulation is a small Government agency with a big job to do.
We're charged with leading the regulatory system within the New Zealand government and making regulation work better for everyone.
We are a small group of dedicated professionals, working in a 'can do' environment.
**About the Role**
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires the capacity to exercise flexibility and agility, juggle multiple tasks and develop and maintain effective relationships, with a strong focus on getting things done. The role sits within a small and highly effective team that values the ability to lead workstreams and deliver value.
**About you**
We need someone with a proven track record of leading stakeholder engagement, writing thought leadership content, supporting system level change, as well as general communications planning and support. You will lead efforts to effectively convey the Ministry’s purpose and strategic objectives, develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders, and enhance the Ministry’s reputation with a broad range of audiences, both internally and externally.
You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders. You’re well practiced with managing projects. You’re comfortable working in an environment that’s still developing, you can think with agility, bring a lens of continuous improvement, and you’re happy to roll your sleeves up.
Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or a related discipline, and will have extensive experience in your field.
**What we can offer you**
- Challenging and important work at the centre of government.
- Work within a dedicated and supportive team, with a strong delivery focus, who values diversity of thought, where knowledge sharing is encouraged
- Opportunity to lead workstreams and drive work independently
This role is banded from **$127,142 - $168,973**
**How to apply**:
This role will be advertised internally, and internal applicants may be preferred.
