He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We currently have a part-time Clinical Unit Administration vacancy within the Surgical Admission Unit/Perioperative Department at Whakatāne Hospital.
In this role you will be an efficient administrator who will be able to respond effectively to general enquires and maintain good relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff and most importantly, patients. You will need to be able to work in a changing environment, have the ability to meet deadlines and have excellent customer service skills.
This is 0.5 FTE position working 20 hours per week.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills with excellent phone manner
- The ability to prioritise and work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and high-quality workmanship
- Well-developed computer skills to be able to learn software skills related to surgical services
- A positive and flexible attitude and a sense of humour
- Ideally you will have working knowledge of Webpas, MCP, Microsoft Word, and be familiar a hospital environment.
