**About the Ministry for Regulation**

The Ministry for Regulation is a small government agency with a big job to do.

We're focused on lifting quality across all regulatory systems and supporting agencies with regulatory responsibilities to align with good practice. We are a small group of dedicated professionals, working in a 'can do' environment.

**About the role**

This is an important and busy role, supporting the Deputy Chief Executive, Reviews and System Capability.

We're looking for an experienced professional who has a strong understanding of the machinery of government, great organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.

On a typical day, you might find yourself:

- reviewing papers going to senior stakeholders
- providing feedback to other team members
- working with managers to allocate resources across a number of different work streams, and monitoring capacity and business needs
- supporting and facilitating meetings with a range of stakeholders
- providing input into WPQs and OIAs
- Anything else that is going to help the DCE be responsive and efficient across a busy work programme

**About you**

We're looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate into a dynamic environment. We're open to a variety of backgrounds, however you should have a strong understanding of the machinery of government, experience with successful delivery and a good understanding of the policy process.

**In addition, you will bring**:

- A meticulous eye for detail
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Experience working with senior stakeholders
- Comfort in tackling problems and forming solutions
- A strong delivery focus
- (Ideally) experience working in an effective matrix management environment

**Salary range**: $108,126 - $143,618
