Based in our Te Aroha office, this full time position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Council’s Road Maintenance contract, which includes reviewing monthly programmes; checking work quality; liaising with contractors and ratepayers; managing budgets and reviewing and preparing contract payments. You will also assist with providing technical advice and support in relation to roading activities.

To succeed in this position you will need excellent time management skills, a good knowledge of road maintenance requirements, strong verbal and written communication skills and a full class one driver’s licence. A tertiary level engineering qualification and three years experience in road maintenance and contract management and supervision is desirable, however graduates will also be considered.
