**The Opportunity**
We are on the search for an enthusiastic practical person to join the Project Management Office in the role as Project Officer to provide support to the Infrastructure Project Management team as BDC undertake a number of capital works programmes throughout the district.

**What you'll be doing**:
You will provide technical and administration support to the team and support the implementation phase of the projects deliverables. Defining scope, budget, schedule forecasts by providing monthly project status reports for all active projects. You will be able to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrate our core values when liaising with contractors and internal staff.

**Skills & Experience**:
- Demonstrate experience in risk assessment, design development, scheduling, cost estimating, technical specifications, QA and H&S systems.
- Knowledge of local government policies and procedures.
- Ability to focus on key tasks, and prioritise accordingly to work & deliver to a timetable. Methodical and analytical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written / oral) skills
- High level computer literacy
- Current New Zealand Drivers License
- Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand
