**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**
Take your Project Management abilities, career and track record to the next level while making a difference supporting the delivery of diverse projects across the Hawkes Bay and surrounding regions.
You will have the opportunity to both learn from our leading Principals, designers, and project specialists, as well as having scope to have your say and contribute. While being based in Beca’s Hawkes Bay office, working at Beca will provide you with access to a truly multi discipline business where you can draw on technical experts to support delivery of significant and complex projects. You will have input into how projects are delivered, being encouraged to make suggestions, and voice your thoughts on solutions. Significant career opportunities exist including developing your consulting abilities, project management and delivery, and technical abilities depending on how you want to shape your career. You will be part of our local office who are tight knit team covering a range of different disciplines. You will also have immense support (and regular visitors) from leaders across Beca, including the Wellington office this role aligns with. Your ability to work in, and be a team player, in a small office yet with the ability to build relationships with teammates based elsewhere, is going to be a key part of your success.
You will be joining a passionate team of over 40 project delivery, programme advisory and cost professionals within the Central Region. At Beca, we do cool projects with no two being the same. This provides you with career variety both in the project types, scale, client and sectors, as well as procurement models including experience working collaboratively in project alliance settings. You will be supporting the growth and recovery of the region through the delivery key projects across Hawkes Bay with clients including local and regional councils, airports, ports, Waka Kotahi, NZ Defence Force and others.

In this role, you will have plenty of scope for success. We are looking for Project Management professionals from a range of backgrounds and career stages, who have a ‘can do’ attitude and a bias for action. Our culture is what unites us so you will be ready to learn and develop while sharing a real passion for project delivery with a focus on achieving great outcomes for our clients. You will enjoy working in teams, as well as having responsibility and ownership for delivery of your part of a project.
You will be a relationship builder, with the ability to collaborate with others on projects, particularly able to build credible relationships across designers, clients, contractors, iwi partners and community groups. You will also be passionate about learning from others, ready to listen, engage, support and positively query situations with a focus on great client outcomes. We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
