We’re looking for a Marketing and Social Media Specialist to join our head office team in Rosedale, Auckland.

**Purpose of the role**:
With support from the marketing manager, drive the evolution of North Beach’s social media strategy.

Manage North Beach socials, including social ads, with an eye to brand consistency and driving channel revenue.

Develop, communicate, and maintain a deep understanding of North Beach customer types and target audiences.

Coordinate marketing campaigns.

Provide support to the marketing manager with day to day marketing tasks.

Key Functions: Social media - 50%

“Own” the social media strategy for North Beach.

Organise the social media content planner populating it with relevant, on-brand, engaging content that follows the social media strategy, builds the brand and meets KPIs.

Manage social ad campaigns using Meta Business Suite, working closely with an external agency.

2-3 organic (unpaid) posts per day.

Curate and create engaging social media content.

Gather and organise images from the design team, other websites, blogs, influencers, partners and brands.

Build the Instagram story content, creating digital content including images, gifs and videos to upsell products and project branding using the story feature.

Write effective, engaging captions for social media posts. Run regular engagement activities and competitions.

Work with other departments across the business including the North Beach in-house photographer.

Create and reformat digital advertising assets to be used across social channels.

Ideate and produce Tiktok content.

Respond to all social media messages and comments in a timely manner.

Use North Beach brand voice throughout all communication.

Encourage engagement and activity with regular visible communication direct to our customers on all social platforms.

Answer customer service enquiries if required.

Identify key trends to promote across digital channels, creating collections to upsell the associated products.

Report regularly on social media performance

Key Functions: Marketing - 40%

Coordinate all store specific marketing campaigns and promotions in conjunction with store managers

Co-ordinate and brief marketing campaigns, working with the Ecommerce team, Buyers, Visual Merchandisers and Stores

Be the primary marketing contact for select brands and ensure they are well represented in our marketing campaigns

Create segmented marketing campaigns across all our channels to meet our revenue goals

Support the Marketing Manager with ad hoc marketing tasks including ensuring that all marketing deadlines are met and well managed on our project management tool

Key Functions: Other - 10%

Keep up-to-date with social media and marketing trends and share your knowledge with the wider team

Provide ongoing assistance to the Marketing team, covering leave and absence when required

Assist with general administrative tasks where necessary

Be well versed in all North Beach practices

Document all work with clear instructions and make use of shared drives to save all information in relevant, easy access places.

Make valuable use of all downtime by helping the team work towards North Beach goals

Develop and streamline all processes

Performance Outcomes

North Beach Social Media activity is delivered within budget

Social media targets are met

Content is on brand, engaging and well thought out with captivating, relevant captions

Traffic to stores and website steadily increases in line with social activity and engagement

Campaigns are cohesive across all channels and departments

Brand activations and partnerships are utilised to deliver results across campaigns and brands feel supported by North Beach.

Stores are fully supported with local marketing

Full support is provided to the Marketing team where needed

Skills and Education

Bachelors level qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar

2+ years marketing experience (ideally in retail)

Proven experience executing marketing strategies (ideally in retail)

Experience managing social channels in a business context

Experience with Meta Business Suite

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Any experience wrangling with data a bonus

Personality
