Marketing Specialist

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and data-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to grow and amplify thl’s Rentals brands across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role driving brand love and category preference through bold, engaging, and on-trend social storytelling.
You’ll be at the heart of our global brand narrative, with a focus on the Australian market, shaping how we show up on social media channels such as: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and beyond. From creating thumb-stopping short-form content to building campaigns with influencers and partners, you’ll connect audiences to the freedom and culture of road trips with our brands.
**About the Role**:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Marketing Specialist - Social Media to drive the growth and visibility of our brand across various social media channels. This role is crucial in building category preference and brand love. You'll be the key connector between thl’s Rental brands - ANZ and its audiences, both behind and in front of the camera, publishing across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube. You'll also connect communication journeys on our website and blogs.
**What you’ll do**:

- Lead and execute our social media strategy, with a focus on TikTok & Instagram.
- Create and publish world-class social content (short-form video, photography, copy, editing).
- Manage content calendars, campaigns, and always-on storytelling
- Drive community engagement, responding to audiences and cultivating brand culture.
- Partner with agencies, influencers, and creators to bring ideas to life.
- Track, report, and optimise performance to fuel growth and engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop a channel-specific social media strategy aligned with brand, campaign, and revenue goals.
- Create and maintain a social media content strategy for TikTok and Instagram.
- Manage external agency partners to deliver social media and earned media programs.
- Champion social-first storytelling across the organization.
- Set clear KPIs for growth, engagement, reach, and community outcomes.
- Stay on top of social media trends and platform evolution.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Proven experience managing social media for lifestyle/consumer brands.
- Strong creative skills (ideation, editing, copywriting).
- Deep understanding of social-first storytelling, trends, and analytics.
- A collaborative, proactive approach with a passion for travel and road trips.

**What You Need**:

- 3+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation in brand management, direct-to-consumer marketing, and social media.
- Proven success in leading integrated marketing campaigns across TikTok and Meta.
- Experience using content editing tools for social media (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Excellent project management and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- Working knowledge of the New Zealand and Australian media landscape.
- A genuine passion for travel and road tripping.
- Availability to travel Trans-Tasman for content creation programs.
- A passion for social media, platform, and brand engagement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking accountability for end-to-end processes and making a substantial organizational impact.
