Auckland Council has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist within their Communications team. In this role you will be responsible for planning and executing social media content across all Auckland Council social channels including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

In a typical day, you will:

- Monitor and manage all Auckland Council social media pages
- Curate, edit and schedule a high standard of accessible and engaging content
- Work closely with Stakeholders to formulate and continuously improve content, customer experience, and drive follower growth
- Provide insights and reporting of social content performance
- Stay informed about trends and innovations in social media

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist that is passionate about storytelling via social media platforms. Alongside excellent time-management and organisational skills, you’ll need to be creative and pragmatic, with enthusiastic attention to detail. The role will require you to have:

- 2-3 Years’ experience working in a social media role for a large complex organisation
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships
- Strong copy writing skills and a basic understanding of Te Reo
- Is self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to change
