We are looking for an exceptional lawyer (legal counsel or senior legal counsel) to join our team. As a Legal Business Partner, you'll be a key member of the Customer Legal team based in Wellington, responsible for the provision of effective, practical, high quality, strategic and outcome-focused legal and commercial advice. Partnering with and working alongside key business stakeholders and senior leadership you will provide advisory and transaction support while ensuring all of Spark's commercial and legal objectives are balanced appropriately. **What are the requirements of the role?** - Providing high quality legal and commercial advisory services while ensuring Spark's commercial and legal objectives are balanced appropriately. - Providing legal and commercial advice on all aspects of customer facing agreements including RFX processes and implementation of contractual obligations. - Proactively keeping key leaders and all relevant stakeholders informed of activities, costs, and key legal and commercial issues as appropriate. - Developing and making recommendations to senior stakeholders' on deals. - Leading negotiations for significant customer opportunities, including partnering with sales, product and delivery teams and stakeholders. - Implementing effective processes around major contracts to help maximize profitability and business returns and minimise commercial and legal risk. - Identifying and participating in initiatives aimed at helping our team to innovate, improve and simplify our services and how we provide them. **We can wow you with**: In return, you will be part of a collaborative and energetic team.
