**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a person looking to develop their career as a Business Development Manager to join our team based at our award-winning head office in East Tamaki, Auckland.

As part of the Upper North Island Sales Team, you will be tasked with uncovering new customers in the dynamic building and construction sector. Both residential and commercial projects. Partnering with customers to help them achieve their Home Star and Green Star sustainability goals, negotiating price and contracts, supported by our highly engaged operations team.

**About you**

You might have some sales experience and looking to progress you career. Or some building and construction experience and looking to get into sales. What is really required to be successful in this role is the ability to maintain a positive attitude and an energetic work ethic. Being able to build relationships quickly and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ideally you will have the following skills and attributes:

- You are skilled at sourcing and developing new business opportunities
- You are a natural at building professional relationships
- Maintaining up to date data and keeping abreast customer activity
- Previous experience in successfully negotiating commercial contracts
- You enjoy working as part of a team and equally comfortable working independently
- Ability to work and approach with small business owners to larger corporates
