**The opportunity**

At Northpower, our people are at the heart of our success. As Network Delivery Manager, you will role model success in several technical and people functions:

- Your leadership and strategic vision will drive the initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring of Northpower's Electricity Network Capital Works and Operational Maintenance expenditure programmes
- With your expertise in procurement and contracting, you will lead our network procurement processes, including tenders and other go-to-market activities
- You will foster strong relationships with2 suppliers and sub-contractors, overseeing contractual performance and driving continuous improvement
- As a natural people leader, you will ensure that your team feels engaged, valued, and empowered to strive for continuous improvement. By promoting open communication, providing ongoing support, and aligning their day-to-day performance with Northpower's strategic direction, you will drive a culture of ownership and accountability
- As a safety leader, you will promote a culture of mindfulness and accountability, ensuring 100% compliance with HSQE requirements

You will forge partnerships that foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in service delivery and together, we will build a future where Northpower continues to be the backbone of reliable and sustainable power infrastructure.

**Who we’re looking for**

To be considered for this role you will naturally be a people leader and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as:

- Knowledge of construction, power transmission and distribution technology and the electricity industry in New Zealand or abroad
- A relevant tertiary qualification or extensive industry experience
- A project management certification
- A demonstrated track record of success in programme and project management
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen
- Experience in managing contractual arrangements and working within a contracting environment
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong commitment to safety leadership

Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers. We also provide contracting services to our partners - other network owners and operators across New Zealand.
