At Northpower, our people are at the heart of our success. As a Network Controller, you will role model success in several technical and people functions:

- Maintain accurate records of all calls taken, reported faults, HV switching, system alarms, load control switching, and the location of line staff working on or near the distribution system.
- Monitor the loading of the reticulation system and make necessary adjustments as required.
- Allocate fault repair tasks to the faults team and liaise with the Inspection department when necessary.
- Ensure operational, regulatory, and customer requirements are met and exceeded.
- Achieve and surpass performance targets and goals.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Provide day-to-day supervision to your team, managing their workload and delegating tasks according to priorities and capabilities.
- Foster open communication within the team and respond to their needs appropriately.
- Enhance the organization's brand and reputation through positive interactions with customers.
- Take accountability for the performance and development of team members, providing ongoing feedback and support.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, making business improvement suggestions related to safety and work practices.
- Conduct internal audits as required and actively seek self-development opportunities.
- Ensure all issued equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) is fit for purpose and well-maintained.
- Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards and report incidents promptly.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required.

**Who we’re looking for**

To be considered for this role you will naturally be a well rounded individual and possess great interpersonal skills, as well as:

- 5+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Electrical Registration is an advantage.
- Demonstrated sound people management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Availability for shift work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
