**The Opportunity**

We are currently looking for a Product Owner with a strong background in Billing and Revenue. You will be assisting in transforming the product vision into actionable increments of the strategic product capabilities, and foster collaboration between the Product Manager and our Product Development teams.

As a B2B software and service provider bringing complex, mission critical systems to a few large-scale clients in New Zealand and across the globe, we will only fulfil our global aspirations if we have the most talented leadership working with these clients to secure their business through the delivery and support of great technology.

Given your experience, understanding and passion for customers you can articulate the customers' needs while balancing this understanding with the constraints of the development teams. You are responsible for refining the product backlog, readying stories, leading estimation sessions, and articulating value and the ‘What’ - so that our development teams can deliver shippable increments every sprint.

You are a great communicator and able presenter, well versed in speaking about your product features and modules to audiences inside and outside of Gentrack. Your success is measured by being recognised throughout Gentrack as the go-to individual for the product features and modules that you are responsible for. The people you work with trust you and your ability to create crisp, clear backlog items, and to make timely decisions when required. Your success is visible in the continuous delivery of product value, and your ability to make the right prioritisation calls.

You can resolve conflicting requirements, create and implement structure and thrive on change. Our customers come first, so we need to pivot and flex in our delivery.

Gentrack is a 500 person, growing business, listed in the public markets of New Zealand and Australia. The main people centres are in London, Auckland, Melbourne and Pune.

**Experience / Knowledge**
- Experienced as a Product Owner, preferably in a SaaS solutions environment.
- Experience of the full software development life cycle (design, development, and testing) in Agile / Scrum development methodology.
- Ability to create product backlog, demos, and personas.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes
- Proven ability to understand and communicate technical and business concepts, and being a good presenter
- A record of building strong products and collaborating with development teams
- Facilitate workshops and elicit requirements
- Provide input into product direction regarding functionality
- Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy

You will ideally have domain experience in the likes of Billing, Payments, Revenue Management, as well as experience in the Utility sector. Gentrack is a global company there
