If you answered “yes” to the above, then it is likely Waikato Regional Council’s Biosecurity Pest Animal Team is the right place for you to showcase your talents
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- A tertiary qualification or bachelor’s degree in applied science or biology (conservation based) and/or equivalent experience in a related field of work.
- 5+ years’ experience in rural related field (e.g., land management, conservation, biosecurity, pest control, farm advisory)
**You will need**:
- An understanding of ecological processes and pest management technologies
- Well-developed project management skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Operational and tactical thinking skills
- Proven success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Broad general management skills including people leadership, business acumen and positive business achievements and financial management
- The ability to manage and deliver in an environment that could be high pressure and rapidly changing
