**The Role**

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to make their mark with new partnerships and collaborations as Synlait grows and develops their product portfolio.

This is a full-time 40-hour Monday to Friday role based at Synlait Pokeno site.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Manufacturing the responsibilities in this role will include
- Lead the Pokeno Quality Team with 4 direct and 4 indirect reporting lines.
- Effective management of day-to-day tasks to ensure food safety and quality standards are continuously met
- Support the manufacturing team on quality-related issues
- Maintain compliance in line with the risk management programme and existing certifications
- Lead the quality team in facing internal and external audits
- Collaborate with a wider quality team in the development and improvement of quality systems to ensure only the highest food safety and quality standards.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this role will require:

- Previous people management experience preferably within a Food/Dairy Quality environment.
- Proven knowledge of dairy legislative and regulatory requirements, knowledge, and experience in New Zealand dairy regulation is advantageous.
- Effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to relay information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to coach, inspire, and build up the capability of a team and their knowledge.
