Auckland Kindergarten Association | Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki has been supporting tamariki and whānau across Tāmaki Makaurau since 1908. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead to guide and grow our organisation wide approach to health, safety and wellbeing.

Auckland Kindergarten Association | Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki seeks an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead to champion a proactive, inclusive and collaborative safety culture across all our services.

**About the Role**

This is a key leadership position within our People & Capability team. In this role, you will:

- Lead the development and implementation of the health, safety and wellbeing strategy aligned to our organisational priorities.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to leaders across all levels of the organisation.
- Lead and support a dedicated Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to deliver high-quality, consistent services.
- Strengthen capability through training, development and clear systems that support safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant legislation.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective reporting, risk management, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Build collaborative relationships with external partners such as WorkSafe, ACC and professional networks.
- Support our commitment to a bicultural approach by ensuring health, safety and wellbeing practices reflect and honour the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

**About You**

You will bring:

- Significant experience in a senior health and safety role within a complex organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and contemporary safety practice.
- Experience leading people, building capability and managing programmes of work.
- Confidence in data analysis, incident investigation and improvement methodology.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and support at all levels.
- A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and a clean, full driver's license.
