About the Role

We are on the hunt for our next Team Leader who will lead and supervise Checkpoint operations. Oversee log processing, manage small teams, and maintain compliance with Qube procedures. We're looking for an enthusiastic leader with a "lead from the front" approach. Supervisory experience is preferred, but not essential—full training and ongoing development provided.

The Checkpoint is the first point of call for all log trucks arriving at the port. Each log is ticketed and documented here to ensure accurate tracking before it makes its way overseas. It's a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Location: Napier Port

Status: Full-time, Mon-Fri with flexibility required

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Checkpoint team and daily operations as well as coordinate shifts.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with SOPs and SWIs.
  • Data entry and work with computer systems.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment.

Who we're after:

  • Knowledge of marshalling/log scaling operations preferred.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Administration and data entry skills.
  • A current Full class 1 NZ Driver's License.
  • To be drug-free and open to regular random drug testing.
  • To complete a criminal history and ACC check.
