**About the Role**

As our National Key Account Manager, you will:

- Manage key account relationships in the South Island, ensuring strong commercial and operational performance.
- Own and grow a portfolio of national key accounts, driving joint business plans that lift revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
- Be the primary commercial partner for each account, leading strategic account management, new business development, compliance, and margin improvement.
- Work closely with Regional GMs and procurement teams to ensure seamless service delivery and stock alignment.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and champion CRM best practices across the team.

This role is based in **Christchurch**, reports directly to the GM - South Island, and offers the potential to develop into a senior national-level account management position.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Develop account-specific strategies aligned with revenue and gross profit targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead contract negotiations, margin management, and national pricing strategies where required.
- Drive basket profitability through data insights and strategic product substitution.
- Support GM with reporting, presentations, and project rollouts.
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives, events, and customer-facing activities.

**KPIs include**:

- Sales and GP growth across portfolio
- New business acquisition and successful implementation
- Customer retention and satisfaction
- DIFOT 98% & lesser credit across allocated accounts

**About You**

You’re a motivated and experienced business development professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering results. Ideally, you have:

- **3+ years’ experience** in B2B sales or business development (hunter role).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding new business targets.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence multiple decision-makers.
- A valid NZ driver’s license and flexibility for local travel and occasional overnight stays.

**Preferred**:

- Experience in the food service or hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
