We have an exciting opportunity in Te Ihuwaka | The Education Evaluation Centre (the research centre within the Education Review Office) for a Senior Manager position.

**Mo tenei turanga | About this role**

This role, as part of the Te Ihuwaka leadership team is responsible for leading and managing ERO's programme of insights, evaluations, publications and policy services. Key functions of this role is to provide leadership in the alignment of ERO's work with government priorities in education, design and implementation of research, evaluations, quality assurance processes, and guidance for ERO staff, both within the Centre and across ERO. This is an office-based role, in central Wellington.

Your focus will be to represent the interests of the centre including the management of work programmes, providing coaching and management to support the development of team members and actively support the development of a high performance culture upholding the values of ERO. Because our work is varied, often fast-paced, and responsive to shifts in the education sector, you have a pivotal role in modelling calm, positive, and resilient adaptability and decision-making, to see the positives and opportunities, and to support junior members of the team to be agile too and to thrive under your guidance.

You will be one of three senior managers, with between five and ten direct reports. You will report to one of two Directors within Te Ihuwaka. You will be an integral part of a knowledgeable team of research specialists, influencing the provision of high quality education for all learners.
