The Senior Compliance Manager will play a key role in partnering with FNZ’s NZ business, building trust and credibility through a solutions focused approach to risk management. Reporting to the CRO and General Counsel, you will be part of a collaborative team that have been making strides in uplifting maturity and engagement across the company.

The Senior Compliance Manager will be someone who brings an understanding of best practice from the financial services sector and a naturally inquisitive nature who brings a proactive approach to risk management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the business conducting ongoing monitoring and assessment of key risk indicators, including engaging with data owners to collate data and measures for reporting.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the enterprise wide compliance assurance programme, including identifying gaps, executing testing, documenting key controls/processes and policies and reporting and help embed and ensure operational effectiveness of those compliance processes across the business.
- Enable risk control self assessment process in NZ, and assist with the embedding of the Risk Management Framework across the business.
- Work collaboratively within the Team and other business units, assist and provide support as required across all Risk & Compliance related tasks and activities.
- Collaborate with specialists to ensure planned outcomes are achieved.
- Establish best practice policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.

**Requirements**:

- 8+ years compliance and risk experience in financial services sector.
- Experience and knowledge in key legislative regimes, including Financial Markets Conduct Act, and FMCA custody regulations, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act and Privacy Act.
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships and be seen as an enabler, finding robust solutions for complex issues.
- Experience working with risk management and/or compliance assurance frameworks and bringing them to life with the business.
