We’re united by our love of technology and its potential for making lives better. Some of us are big picture thinkers, some of us creatively driven. And some of us love nothing more than deep diving into a thorny technical challenge. But we’re all human, inspired by human stories and driven by a desire to create human-centred experiences.
**About the role**:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data pipelines and warehouses, with a strong focus on Snowflake.
This would be an initial 5 week contract, where your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and optimizing ETL processes using Snowflake.
- Designing and implementing data models and schemas to ensure efficient data management.
- Ensuring data quality, privacy, and minimisation, particularly for PHI (Protected Health Information) data.
- Collaborating with data analysts to ensure seamless data integration and functionality.
- Working on data integration projects with partners and optimizing query performance and data storage.
**About you**:
We are always on the lookout for individuals who value a strong culture just as much as working on great projects. Ideally, you will have:
- Strong experience with Snowflake and ETL processes.
- Expertise in designing and implementing data models and schemas.
- An understanding of data privacy, including experience working with PHI data.
- Experience collaborating on data integration projects.
- Proficiency in optimizing queries and data storage performance.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of data processes.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly with data analysts and other team members.
**Bonus skills**:
- Experience with other cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
**What matters to us?**
- Put people first - It's about the people, not the tech.
- Push the boundaries - Who wants to do what's been done already?
- Play the long game - We create sustainable solutions, not quick fixes.
- Say it like it is - Life's too short for miscommunication.
- Live for the RUSH - Nothing's more exciting than the rush of doing and discovering.
