**Ko tō tūranga - Your role**:
This is a critical role within our Data & Growth function and will be an exciting opportunity to support the implementation of best data engineering practices and processes. In this role you will build highly performant and scalable data pipelines and data sets that can support VF’s data & analytics strategies. You will be responsible for gathering and identifying the quality of the data and then transforming it into a robust and reliable data foundation. In this role you** **will work closely with several business stakeholder to meet group objectives.

**Ko tō mahi - What you’ll do**:

Design and work with data scientists and peers to evaluate and integrate new data sets to enable effective insights.
- Re-engineer old data assets onto some of the shiniest new tech.
- Working closely with data and business owners to ensure current and future information requirements are understood, agreed upon and mapped.
Identifying risks related to the data architecture assets, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Robust automation of existing data tasks, successful implementation of data architecture and optimization of data engineering solutions.

**Na tōu rourou - What will you bring?**:

- Excellent understanding in data engineering / data warehousing environment.
- BSc or above degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, math, computer science) or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of data engineering principles within SQL environments.
- Strong experience working with large volumes of information and exposure to working in an agile environment.
- Technology you will ideally have experience with: AWS and Azure, SQL server, ETL tools such Alteryx and Talend; DBT, Databricks, Confluent, Collibra, Kibana, Python.
