Software Developer

-This is a key position responsible for delivering software solutions as a critical part of MTF Finance’s core delivery teams. This role is primarily engaged in hands-on software development and supports the wider team’s commitment to continual improvement in both quality and efficiency.

Just some of the things you’re responsible for:

- Contributes to the delivery efforts of a given delivery squad, delivering solutions which meet MTF Finance’s chosen architectures, solution design patterns and code quality.
- Supports the delivery squad as required, engaging proactively in peer reviews, solution design forums, scrum ceremonies and celebrations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to security by design, high levels of automated testing, and adherence to agreed architectural principles.
- Delivers lasting solutions which minimise technical debt and consider long term maintainability.
- Gains familiarity with new versions and releases of chosen toolsets.
- Actively participates in team development, research, design spikes as required to continually advance the software development craft at MTF Finance.
- Understands enterprise risk management and coaches this into solution design and architectural governance processes.

You’ll need to have:

- 5+ years of software delivery within scrum teams preferred.
- Proven success within high performing software delivery teams.
- Proven success embedding best practice IT principles.
- Proven success implementing innovative technologies with measurable business outcomes.
- An energetic, compelling and highly organised individual with the ability to operate effectively within an Agile structure.
- Excellent communication skills, able to describe complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Current experience in full stack development (.NET, Node.js or Nest.js, MySQL, Vue.js are essential skills at MTF Finance), public cloud delivery (specifically Microsoft Azure), and contemporary integration practices.
