Jade Software is looking for an Intermediate Quality Assurance Engineer to join a dynamic cross-functional delivery team and to work closely with a leading New Zealand retail brand.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral member of a progressive international company. As the successful applicant, you will be provided with on-the-job training and be well supported with career path planning and regular performance and development reviews.

You will also be joining a dedicated wider team of Quality Assurance Engineers, where you will have the space and opportunity to collaborate and contribute to regular community of practice sessions.

*ABOUT THE ROLE
*

You will be working in a dynamic team environment and will be ensuring that designed solutions are valuable by using quality testing processes.
The role will involve you working as part of a project team who are delivering complex software solutions for our large retail client.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working as part of the engineering team to analyse all relevant documents and determine testing requirements
- Raising any defects found during test and escalating
- Working collaboratively with the team members
- Actively contributing to development activities
- Supporting the team to build quality into the product and development processes
- Supporting and developing ways of working to align with Agile development practices

*ABOUT YOU
*
- Knowledge of software development process and practice, e.g., Kanban and Agile methodologies
- The ability to write and maintain automated test scripts
- Experience testing APIs preferred
- Non-functional testing experience is a bonus
- Experience liaising with customers and specifically retail customers would be beneficial
