The administrative team is an integral part of the organization as they are often the first point of contact for businesses and members of the public seeking our services and make any visitors feel welcome to our Head Office. They also offer a range of support to management and staff across all departments. The Office Manager will oversee and supervise a small, dedicated team in these tasks and holds some key responsibilities as outlined below.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Ensure the efficient running of the organisation’s business functions and provide high level administrative support to the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees when required.
- Supervise and develop a small administrative team.
- Ensure reports are completed within expected timelines to an acceptable standard.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advance the vision, mission, and strategic themes of Equip and work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the organization is proactive in growth and sustainability.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.

- Has strong planning and organisational skills.
- Have a sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be able to demonstrate bicultural concepts in practice, or willingness to learn.
- Has strong written and oral communication skills with good numerical ability.
- Is a team player who is also able to work autonomously.
- Builds strong working relationships based on respect and trust.
- Is experienced with Microsoft Office technologies and IT hardware.
- Has skills and experience in administration for senior management.
- Is experienced in contract management and the production of reports.
- Holds a Full B Class Driver’s license.
