The Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting a broad range of internal communications activity across Hato Hone St John. This is a busy and fast-paced role which supports the team with administration, content management and creation and contributes to the delivery of our communications strategy.
- Provide key support to the Internal Communications Manager to ensure the successful delivery of internal communication channels, projects, campaigns and initiatives.
- Alongside the Internal Communications Specialist, keep org wide internal communication channels up to date with inspiring, fresh and audience centric content.
- Support the Communications Business Partner - Ambulance Operations on delivery of key comms channels and projects.
- Provide key administrative support to the Commuinications function. Activities include coordinating stats and reports, maintaining the content calendar and library, minute taking and updating comms collateral.
- Contribute to content gathering and research for internal bulletins, memos, publications and reports.
The role is based from our offices in Ellerslie - Auckland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging communications professional with a genuine desire to make a positive difference. To be successful you will have the following:
- A degree in communications, media or relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or relevant practical communications experience ideally in an NGO or service organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to write and produce communications for a diverse audience and a variety of communications channels.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, capacity to work independently and prioritise workloads.
- An understanding of what makes something newsworthy and an ability to craft a story for varied audience interests.
- High computer literacy and comfort picking up new technologies. Excellent word processing, writing and editing skills including ability to work with video equipment.
