About the role?

The role of an Accounts Payable Officer here at Nando's is responsible for the accounting and administrative tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of company accounts payable transactions. This includes but is not limited to:
- Timely and accurate processing of all invoices received and to undertake the payment of all creditors in a timely manner- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and authorisation prior to entering into the system- Set up invoices for electronic payment and process cheque payments- Audit and process company credit card statements for payment- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and correct discrepancies- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices- Reconciliation of GP suppliers for period end accruals.- Respond to all vendor and internal inquiries- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date- Assist with other projects as required

Who are we looking for?- Possess strong organisational and time management skills- Strong problem solving skills, intermediate accounting principles knowledge- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness- Proficient in Excel and Word- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus;- Relevant tertiary/TAFE qualifications favourable although not essential
