This specialist organisation led and run by its members, has a long and proud history of giving a voice to its professional membership base and creating an advocacy platform for them. Regularly consulted by various government ministries and media, the organisation stands out as the expert body in their field.
Emerging from the pandemic as a more streamlined and focussed organisation, now is the time to add a dynamic Operations Manager, capable of creating a newly energised culture for this Association.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Association President and based at newly refurbished and expansive offices in Mangere, the Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the day to day running of the organisation and ensuring the strategy, set by the Board, is implemented as intended.
More specifically you will be:
- Leading a team of high performing staff across Legal, Finance, Communications and Administration. Providing direction, coaching, feedback, and support
- Creating and maintaining an office environment with the team to an emphasis on employee performance and job satisfaction
- Maintaining and creating, policies and procedures
- Providing updates to the Board and key personnel with regards to the performance of the Association, including attending bi-monthly Board meetings
- Developing and executing ongoing operations roadmaps and projects that align with the organisation’s strategic goals
- Working alongside the Finance Manager to ensure the best value is being delivered to members
- Being the first ‘port of call’ for IT related issues and managing the established relationships with external contractors
- Ensuring that all communications delivered internally and externally are professional and well presented.
**Your Background**
- Demonstrated history as a pragmatic and commercially focused people leader
- Proven experience in either Corporate Services, Business Management, or Operational Management
- Experience within an Association or Incorporated Society structure highly advantageous
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, IT, or HR preferred
- IT savvy with a high level of proficiency with MS Office, Database management and IT systems generally.

- Well organised, adaptable and capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment, alternating between conflicting operational demands
- An ability to uphold the strictest standards of confidentiality.
