**About us**:
The Survivor Experiences Service is for people who were abused in state, faith-based, or other forms of care. We offer two services for survivors and whānau: sharing experiences of abuse in care, and records support.
Playing a key role in supporting the governance, reporting and planning space, we are looking for talent who can work collaboratively to analyse, influence and think strategically. You'll need to be able to hit the ground running and be a solid team player.
**About the role**:
As a part of the Planning and Reporting team, you will deliver a range of governance support services, provide strategic advice, assist on delivering the Service's accountability documentation and general reporting. Delivering this will provide critical support to one of the Service's core services and a range of pieces of work. You will be expected to collaborate with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to deliver outcomes so it should be a strength of yours. Your advice will support
senior leadership decision-making and help enable the work of the branch to be efficient, visible, and aligned. You will also get to work with a really great group of people who will foster your talents as part of a diverse team and be involved in some incredibly interesting mahi.
**About you**:
This role will suit a detail-orientated and skilled Senior Advisor with experience who knows how to add value from day one. Working in a dynamic environment, being comfortable with ambiguity and using initiative will be a bonus here. You will need to demonstrate the ability to multi-task on a range of activities, to a quality standard, in a largely face-to-face environment.
**To be successful in the role you will**:
- Bring a background in reporting and/or governance in a Government-based environment.
- Hold solid communication skills, written and verbal, and with superior attention to detail abilities.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a small team; with a strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude.
- Proven organisational and time management skills at a Senior level; experience working with a Board or in a planning environment; experience in a reporting/writing environment.
- Have an awareness of public sector accountability frameworks and machinery of government understanding is a must.
