**As the largest group of Mitre 10 stores in Auckland, we have an opportunity for an experienced retail professional to join the team as our Operations Manager at Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth.**

**About the role**:

- Reporting to the Store Manager you’ll be responsible for building on and driving our customer centric culture through the successful delivery of sales and service within our store.
- With a major focus on engaging, motivating and leading the team, you will inspire team members to continue to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
- Working closely with the Store Manager you will deliver on the store business strategy and execute on our vision enabling us to maintain a competitive advantage in the increasingly challenging retail environment.
**You will have**:

- Ideally 3+ years of retail management experience preferably in DIY or other Big Box Retail environments.
- A proven track record of delivering sales and profit to target.
- You will be strong all round in retail operations across customer experience, merchandising, stock management, inventory, point of sale, security and administration.
- Previous leadership experience of large teams and a proven track record in engaging, motivating and developing your teams to drive sales and provide exceptional customer service.
- Sound business acumen to drive profitability across the retail departments.
- Solid understanding of NZ H&S and employment legislation.
- A structured approach to work and excellent administrative skills.
- A positive and engaging communication style.
- Technological savvy - can quickly learn new systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.
- An innovative approach to work, you might be working in a ‘big box’ but you will be challenged to think outside the box in providing ideas to continuously improve and develop the store.
- A genuine passion for our products, customers and supporting team members to grow and develop.
- Planning and forward thinking is a must

- Riviera Hardware Holdings Limited (RHHL) owns and currently operates Mitre 10 MEGA Albany, Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth, Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn and Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa stores.
- We also own and operate 4 Columbus Coffee shops within our MEGA and Mitre 10 stores.
- We deliver Prenail Frame and Truss solutions through Riviera Pre-nail and manage our own importing via Riviera Imports.
