We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Commercial Strategic Advisor to join our high-performing team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director - CE Office, this influential role is your chance to make a real difference across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
**Strategic advice**:
Provide strategic support and advice as required, including to Te Ranga Urungi (Executive Leadership Team) and the Mayor to support Council initiatives.
Analyse and provide high quality advice as required, with a particular focus on revenue or cost saving opportunities, ensuring adherence to relevance legislation, strategies and policies.
Actively scan and identify political, commercial, community or other emerging opportunities, risks and other interest areas to Council.
Undertake research and data analysis and write high-quality reports, business cases and submissions.
Anticipating and resolving emerging issues and problems, working in conjunction with the Executive Advisor.
**Other duties**:
Undertake other duties that may be required in addition to those outlined which fall within your capabilities and experience to contribute to the flexibility and adaptability of your team and the wider organisation.
Proactively build effective relationships with staff and external key stakeholders as appropriate.
Actively ensure that good employer obligations and legislative requirements are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Knowledge and experience working within a local, regional or central government environment.
Experience providing advice and interpreting data and presenting it in an audience appropriate manner including writing reports on potential complex issues in an easy-to-understand way.
Knowledge of relevant legislation.
