About the role

We're looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to help us build trust, pride and connection through impactful storytelling and strategic communication both inside and outside the bank.

Who are you?

As our Senior Communications Advisor, you'll play a key role in delivering clear, engaging, and authentic communications that strengthen TSB's reputation and support an engaged, connected workforce. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs, you'll work across internal and external channels to ensure a cohesive and consistent voice that reflects our values and purpose.

  • Develop compelling narratives for TSB's Annual Report and Sustainability/Climate reporting.
  • Create content for digital and social media channels.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 5–10 years' experience in communications or journalism.
  • Proven ability to write strategic, audience-focused content and simplify complex or technical information.
  • Experience advising senior leaders and managing crisis communications.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels and social media engagement.
  • An understanding of Te Ao Māori values and commitment to using and growing your Te Reo Māori.

What's in it for me?

We aim to create remarkable experiences for our people, who in turn create remarkable experiences for our customers. By working with us, you'll be a part of a profit for purpose organisation.  We're 100% owned by Toi Foundation, a philanthropic trust, and our annual dividends contribute to Toi's transformational impact in our community.

We believe that we all bring something unique to our workplace and when we are encouraged to be ourselves, TSB is stronger for it. That's why we're committed to supporting your wellbeing, creating space for you to be your best self, both in and out of work, and enabling you to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
