**About The Role**:
We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on QA Practice Lead who can implement, optimize, and oversee the effectiveness of our software testing processes, especially test automation. Reporting to the Engineering Practice Manager, you will spearhead the test chapter across squads, ensuring high-quality, thoroughly tested outcomes are delivered by our Software Engineers.

To be successful in this role you must have significant experience in a Left-shifted engineering team where QA is embedded to all roles in a leadership role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Test Leadership**:Lead the testing chapter across squads, fostering a culture of high-quality, thoroughly tested outcomes.
- **Test Process Development & Optimization**:Develop, implement, and optimize effective software testing processes, particularly focusing on test automation.
- **Test Automation**:Champion the use of automated testing, ensuring it is correctly implemented and used to its full potential to improve quality and speed of testing.
- **Collaboration with Squads**:Work closely with Software Engineers and other team members to ensure testing processes are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
- **Training & Mentorship**:Mentor team members on effective testing practices, promoting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- **Quality Assurance**:Oversee all testing activities to ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently met.
- **Reporting**:Regularly report to the Engineering Practice Lead on testing progress, challenges, and risks.

**Key Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience, particularly in a software testing context.
- Extensive experience with test automation and the associated tools and practices.
- Demonstrable ability to develop, implement, and optimize effective testing processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.
