About us:
We are a Kiwi Fruit Contracting Company based in Te Puke, New Zealand. We have been in business for slightly over a year. However, we are rapidly growing. We provide kiwifruit orchard management services, focusing on maximising profits for the orchard owner by ensuring outstanding long-term performance. We are looking for 2 Farm(Site) Supervisors to help run the operation of the site along assisting the Site Manager or Director to liaise and coordinating the task to the staff

Objective: supervising all farming operations; information and knowledge management;making reports ,booking appointment, instruction and training; answering queries, complying with the policies and procedures; and resource management

In doing so, your core duties include but will not be limited to:

- Assign duties, such as tilling soil, planting, irrigating, storing crops, maintaining machines, and assign fields or rows to workers,
- Oversee tasks related to winter pruning, pest and disease control, thinning, frost protection, summer pruning, and pollination.
- Determine the number and kind of workers needed to perform the required work, and schedule activities and making timesheets for farm hands.
- Observe workers to detect inefficient and unsafe work procedures or identify problems, and initiate actions to correct improper procedure or solve problem.
- Issue farm implements and machinery, ladders, or containers to workers and collect them at end of workday.
- Train workers in methods of field work and safety regulations and brief them on identifying characteristic of insects and diseases.
- Drive to transport workers or cultivate and harvest fields.
- Confer with the manager to evaluate weather and soil conditions, if necessary, provide suggestion on revising plans and procedures.
- Direct in adjustment, repair, and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
- Assist the manager in hiring and discharging workers
- Inspect crops and fields to determine maturity, yield, infestation, or work requirements

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
