We have an exciting opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a passion for quality to join our team at Washer Road in Te Puke

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Quality Manager, you'll lead our Quality Team and implement robust quality systems to ensure compliance with EastPack's Documented Operating System (DOS) and market requirements. This role is pivotal to the success of our busy operation and includes managing fruit loss risk by maintaining an understanding of fruit packing lines and sharing knowledge across teams and growers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train seasonal quality staff to meet KPIs and compliance standards.
  • Implement and monitor on-site Food Safety Management and auditing systems.
  • Ensure inspections and audits are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate quality and compliance issues to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of quality compliance (auditing experience preferred).
  • Resilient decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Ability to achieve cost and quality targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (Radfords and Excel experience an advantage).

Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during peak season is essential. This may include day and night shifts with varying start and finish times.
